Below are the guidelines on the requirements for Shenzhen / Guongzhou Group Visa on Arrival, which is arranged by us for guests who intend to visit Shenzhen or Guangzhou for either a day trip or for an overnight trip.
NEW REGULATIONS EFFECTIVE 10 JULY 2018
Please be advised that with effect From 10 July 2018, the Chinese Government has placed the following restrictions on the issuance of the China 144 Hours Convenient Visa Through Approved Tour Operators –
- This visa will now be issued only when the COMPLETE package – including hotels, tours & transfers– is booked through the authorised tour operator.
- Only a specific list of Accredited Hotelscan be used, failing which the visa will not be issued.
A list of accredited hotels is given below for your reference.
For Guangzhou & Canton as well, the whole package must be booked through approved tour operator only, but no accredited hotels are specified. Only condition is that the full package must be through the approved tour operator.
This new regulation does not affect those pax who wish to make a day-trip ex-HKG to Shenzhen with same day return. They will continue to get the visa as earlier, provided the tour is booked through the approved agents.

Below are the guidelines on the requirements for Shenzhen / Guongzhou Group Visa on Arrival, which is arranged by us for guests who intend to visit Shenzhen or Guangzhou for either a day trip or for an overnight trip.
Please note that other terms & conditions of Shenzhen Group Visa Requirements are as below:
- A minimum of two guests travelling together are required in order to be able to arrange a group visa, valid for a maximum of 144 hours. The guests must enter and exit Shenzhen together. The entry must be either from Macau or Hong Kong. The group visa is NOT valid for direct arrivals into Shenzhen / Guangzhou airport, and in such cases the guests are required to obtain a visa for China well before their departure from India.
- The visa application requires a minimum of three working days processing time, not including weekends. Scanned copies of all the passports are required to be sent to us well in time.
- The visa is only available to guests who are availing our package services, and guests who are on their own arrangements are not eligible for this visa.
- The scan copy of the visa can be sent to you in advance, provided there is sufficient lead time available for the same. Please note that the guests cannot avail this visa for travel on their own. It is mandatory for our guide to be present at Immigration for their arrival / departure clearance.
- Holders of Diplomatic & Official Passports are NOT eligible for this visa and they must apply for the China visa in India with the Chinese Embassy, prior to departure.
IMPORTANT –
- Please also be advised that guests who already hold a visa for China issued in India, should not apply for the group visa if they intend to visit any other point in China after the Shenzhen tour, OR they should ensure that they hold multiple entry visa for China, and not apply for the group visa. Should a passenger hold a single-entry visa, the immigration authorities will not consider the group visa and will treat the pre-stamped visa as utilized, and in that case, the guest will not be able to subsequently use this visa for visiting elsewhere in China.
- Please take note if the pax is travelling from Gongbei to Macau , they must apply for multiple-entry China visa from India . Single entry or group visa will not be applicable and we regret that in such cases, Continental HK will not be able to assist with Group Visa on arrival. We have had instances in the past where passengers have not been allowed entry into Macau via Gongbei border despite a valid 144 Hours visa being arranged for them. If you have any booking where guests are coming from any part of China , and going to Macau by land, please reroute your booking to go to Shenzhen first and then take a ferry to Macau.
You are requested to kindly bear the above information in mind while planning these tours for your guests. Thank you for your kind cooperation.
