Disneyland Bans Selfie Sticks Inside Park

Disney Bans Selfie Sticks

Disney Bans Selfie Sticks

Effective 01 July 2015, the use of Selfie Sticks inside Disney Parks has been prohibited and as such, selfie sticks cannot be carried into the Parks any more.

A notification issued by Hong Kong Disneyland states that To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all Park Guests, the use of handheld camera or cell phone extension poles (such as selfie sticks) will not be allowed inside the Park effective July 1, 2015.

Amid safety concerns, Disney is adopting a blanket ban on the popular extendable rods that attach to cellphones and cameras and allow users to take photos of themselves from a bit of a distance. Use of such sticks can cause injuries to others nearby, as well as pose a serious safety hazard if used on rides etc, and hence this decision to ban selfie sticks.

May we request you to kindly disseminate this information to all your guests visiting the Disneyland Park in Hong Kong.
